Kulgam Police Attach Property Worth ₹1.63 Crore in Narcotics Case


Kulgam, July 17, KNT: Continuing its campaign against narcotics trafficking, Kulgam Police on Friday attached a residential property valued at approximately ₹1.63 crore in connection with multiple cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The action was carried out by Police Station Yaripora in coordination with the Revenue Department under the relevant provisions of law and pursuant to the orders of the competent authority.
The attached property comprises a two-storeyed residential house belonging to Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, a resident of Tantarypora.
According to police, the accused is involved in four cases registered under the NDPS Act, including FIR No. 79/2010 at Police Station Shopian, FIR No. 110/2016 at Police Station Yaripora, FIR No. 184/2022 at Police Station Shopian and FIR No. 47/2025 at Police Station Yaripora.

Police said the attachment of the property forms part of sustained efforts to dismantle the financial infrastructure of individuals allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking.
Kulgam Police reiterated its resolve to continue taking legal action against those involved in the illegal drug trade and appealed to the public to assist law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to narcotics offences. [KNT]
