Flood Control Department Removes Illegal Access Ramps Along Aripal Nallah, Seeks Public Support

Srinagar, July 16: The Flood Control Department has intensified its enforcement drive against illegal mining by dismantling unauthorized access ramps along Aripal Nallah to protect flood channels and critical flood protection infrastructure.

During the latest operation, illegal access ramps at Lagam, Nowdal, Chandrigam, and Dadsara were removed as part of the Department’s sustained efforts to curb unlawful mining activities.

The Department emphasized that tackling illegal mining requires collective action and cannot be achieved through departmental efforts alone. It appealed to residents of the affected villages and the general public to ensure that the dismantled ramps are not rebuilt.
