Jammu Kashmir High Court pronounced the Public Safety Act petition related to Kashmir-based Journalist Fahad Shah today.
Fahad Shah is currently lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu. He was arrested by Pulwama police in February last year, for social media posts “tantamount to glorifying the militant activities and causing dent to the image of law enforcing agencies besides causing ill-will & disaffection against the country.”
Advocate Umari Ronga, the Counsel for Fahad Shah told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Fahad’s Public Safety Act petition reserved for the judgment since February has been pronounced. “Details have not emerged yet, at some appropriate time notice shall be given to the parties and whole judgment will be delivered,” he said.
The Court of Justice Waseem Nagral has pronounced the order. “We haven’t received details of judgment yet,” Advocate Ronga said.
Meanwhile, if court sources are believed, the High Court has quashed the PSA of Sahah, though his Counsel said it will be premature to say anything at this point of time. [KNT]
