Police arrest 5 LeT supporters in Central Kashmir

Joint forces in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district Wednesday claimed that it arrested 5 militant sympathizers and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.

A police spokesperson said that police along with the soldiers of 62 Rashtriya Rifles made these arrests from Khag area of the district. He identified these over-ground workers who were affiliated with the banned militant organization Lashkar-e-Toiba as Rouf Ahmad Wani of Bhatangan Khag, Hilal Ahmad Malik and Showkat Ali Dar, both residents of Bathipora Khag,  Tawfeeq Ahmad Dar a resident of Nowrooz Baba Khag and Danish Ahmad Dar of Dar Mohalla Nawrooz Baba Khag.

The spokesperson said that incriminating materials recovered from their possession have been taken into case records for further investigation and an FIR vide number 45/2023 has been registered at police station Khag. [KNT]
