LG Manoj Sinha leads Tiranga Yatra from Dal Lake to Botanical Garden

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday flagged off the Tiranga Yatra from Dal Lake in Srinagar and joined the walkathon up to Botanical Garden, calling the tricolour his “dharma, strength and heartbeat.”
Paying tributes to the forefathers and bravehearts who laid down their lives to keep the National Flag flying high, the LG said thousands had joined to honour the tricolour which symbolises unity, pride and shared identity. He stressed that while celebrating the nation’s success, citizens must also introspect about their duties and work towards building a modern and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir on the foundation of sacrifices made by soldiers of the Army, CAPFs and Police.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir had entered a new era of inclusive development, the LG said, adding that with renewed self-confidence and faith, the people of the Union Territory were realising the unfulfilled dreams of generations and moving forward with patriotic fervour.
The LG expressed gratitude to the people of J&K, youth, women, public representatives, departments, police, security forces, educational institutions, NCC cadets and other stakeholders for their participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. He said from the Jhelum to the Chenab and from Pir Panjal to Harmukh, the echoes of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” were resonating.
