Car Skids Off Road Near Pandrass, Driver from Kargil Injured

Drass, Sept 5, KNT: A man was injured after a car skidded off the road and plunged nearly 100 meters down a slope near Pandrass while on way from Srinagar to Kargil.

Police said the accident involved a Renault Kwid bearing registration number JK18A 8321, driven by Muhammad Soaleh, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Sankoo in Kargil district. The vehicle lost control and fell into a deep gorge.

The driver sustained injuries in the mishap and was immediately shifted to Drass Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Officials added that an FIR in this regard has been registered at Police Station Drass. [KNT]
