Duo arrested for stealing copper utensils in North Kashmir

Police arrested duo for stealing copper utensils in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The burglary incident had taken place in the residential house of a local Ishaf Ahmed Sheikh at Tantraypora Palhalan area of Pattan town.

The victim lodged a complaint in police post-Palhalan stating that burglars broke into his house in the middle of the night and stole copper utensils.

Police subsequently registered a case and during the investigation arrested a fellow whom the police identified as Khurshid Waza of the same locality where the burglary had taken place.

The police spokesperson said that after thorough questioning, Waza confessed his crime and named his associate who was accompanying him during the episode.

Police arrested the associate of Khurshid Waza who was identified as Tanveer Reshi, a resident of New Colony Palpora Pattan.

After legal formalities, the stolen goods were handed over to the owner. [KNT]
