Two houses attached in North Kashmir for ‘harboring militants’

State Investigating Unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday attached the two houses of alleged militant associates for helping and sheltering militants in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The properties were attached in Gundpora-Rampora and Chittibanday villages of the district.

Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that sleuths of SIU emerged in these villages on Monday morning and attached two houses.

Police sources said that the house in Gundpora-Rampora was registered in the name of Abdul Majeed Reshi, father of the accused Aijaz Ahmad Reshi involved in an FIR 15/2022 under section 18,20,39 ULA(P) Act, 120-B IPC, 7/25 1.A Act of PS Aragam.

Another house in Chittibandey was registered in the name of Muhammad Jamal Malik, father of the accused Maqsood Ahmad Malik involved FIR 15/2022 under section 18,20,39 ULA(P) Act, 120-B IPC, 7/25 I.A Act of police station Aragam.

The government in Jammu and Kashmir has not only terminated the services of dozens of government employees for their alleged role in anti-India activities but also confiscated scores of properties of those allegedly harboring militants. [KNT]
