Septuagenarian tourist from Maharashtra dies in Srinagar hospital

A septuagenarian tourist from India’s Western state of Maharashtra died in Srinagar hospital after developing health complications.

Sources at SMHS Hospital told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a 70-year-old tourist was brought to the hospital who breathed his last shortly after the arrival.

They identified the tourist as Prabhu Sandborkar, a native of East Mumbai.

The deceased was on a recreational visit to Kashmir along with some of his family members. They were staying in a hotel in Srinagar uptown. [KNT]
