A labourer died after an electric wire fell on him while cutting tree branches in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The incident occurred at Wadipora Hardu Panzoo village of the district.

Local sources identified the deceased as 40-year-old Abdul Rashid Ganai son of Abdul Karim, a resident of Dans Beerwah.

They said that the victim was cutting tree branches with a couple of other people. A live wire directly fell on him leading to his on-spot death.
Police in this regard registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
