Shah Rukh Khan starer ‘Jawan’ has become the 4th ‘lucky’ movie for Kashmir’s first multiplex run by INOX.
INOX includes three theatres with a combined seating capacity of 523 people. “There were 8 shows of ‘Jawan’ today at 3 auditoriums and all were house full. Over 80% of people booked their tickets online in advance and the rest of them procured tickets personally to enjoy the movie,” one of the officials at INOX on the condition of anonymity told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
He said since the opening of the cinema in Srinagar, there were 4 movies when auditoriums were jam-packed. These movies were SRK starer Pathan and Jawan, Sam Worthington starer Avatar, and another Hollywood movie by Cillian Murphy starer Oppenheimer.
He said Ajay Devgan starer Drishyam also worked well and was watched by a large number of people at INOX Srinagar.
SRK’s ‘Jawan’ was released today after a gap of over 8 months when in January this year his first ‘lucky’ movie for INOX ‘Pathan’ turned out a blockbuster.
In response to a question, the official claimed that 98% of cine lovers who visit INOX Srinagar are locals, and the rest are non-locals. [KNT]
