Baramulla, July 1, KNT: Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have massively started cracking down on drug abuse.
Police in the district have seized drugs worth Rs 52 crore which is a huge amount keeping the size of the district in account.
Reports indicate that scores of people mostly young have been indulging in drugs while police have been making all efforts to curb the drug menace.
In different actions, police have registered 105 cases in different police stations while 178 persons directly involved in drug abuse and trade have been arrested.
The properties of 12 notorious drug peddlers have also been attached. [KNT]
