Bureaucratic Reshuffle:
Akhshay Labroo, New DC Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohiuddin, DC Budgam, Anil Kumar Singh Appointed Principal Secretary, Social Welfare
Srinagar, June 11, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of 24 IAS and JKAS officers across various departments and districts with immediate effect.
According to a government order issued by the General Administration Department, Anil Kumar Singh, who was awaiting adjustment, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department. He has also been assigned additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, relieving IPS officer Vikramjit Singh from the dual role.
Saurabh Bhagat, previously holding charge of Science & Technology and Information Technology, has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. Meanwhile, Zubair Ahmad, who was handling the Food and Civil Supplies portfolio, has been transferred as Commissioner/Secretary, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, thereby relieving Shailendra Kumar of the additional responsibility.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary takes over as Secretary, Science and Technology Department and will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, replacing Mohammad Aijaz.
Niraj Kumar moves from the Transport Department to head the Public Grievances Department, while Piyush Singla has been appointed Secretary, Information Technology Department, and Naveen SL becomes the new Secretary, Transport Department.
In the district administration reshuffle, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat is the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, replacing Akshay Labroo, who has been posted as DC Srinagar. Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary (IAS) has been appointed Mission Director, National Health Mission.
Mohammad Alyas Khan, earlier with the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, has been posted as DC Ramban. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, previously Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, has been appointed DC Kishtwar.
Faz Lul Haseeb has been appointed Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and will also serve as CEO, Srinagar Smart City Project. Rupesh Kumar (IAS) has been shifted as Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority.
Shahzad Alam will now also oversee the Skill Development Department in addition to his current responsibilities.
Shreya Singhal has been posted as Managing Director, J&K Tourism Development Corporation, and also as CEO, JK ERA. Ananth Dwivedi will serve as CEO, State Health Agency, and Mission Director, Ayush Bharat Digital Health Mission.
Mahima Madan (IAS) has been appointed CEO, JaKeGA, and given additional charge as Additional Secretary, Resident Commission, New Delhi.
Other key appointments include: Gurpal Singh as Director, Social Welfare, Jammu, Owais Ahmed as Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Kashmir, Nazim Zai Khan as Mission Director, ICPS, Majid Khalil Drabu as Commissioner of Enquiries, J&K, Roshan Lal as Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Rajouri and Vivek Phonsa as Additional Secretary, Home Department.
