CRPF holds Tiranga rally on Dal Lake to mark Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

 

Srinagar, Aug 14, KNT: The Central Reserve Police Force on Thursday organised a Tiranga rally on the waters of Dal Lake in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

The rally was led by DIG North Srinagar Sudhir Kumar and organised by the 144 Battalion CRPF under the Srinagar Sector as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. CRPF personnel, alongside local residents, carried the national flag across the lake in a colourful display of unity and patriotism.

DIG North Srinagar Sudhir Kumar said the event was aimed at popularising the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the Valley while paying tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and security personnel who dedicated their lives to the nation.

“The rally is a symbol of our commitment to the nation’s integrity and our unwavering dedication to national unity,” DIG Kumar added.

He said that the  sight of tricolour-adorned boats on Dal Lake attracted large crowds of onlookers and tourists, many of whom joined in the celebrations. Participants described the event as a strong demonstration of the bond between security forces and the people, as well as the inclusive spirit of Kashmir. [KNT]
