Maharashtra man found dead in Srinagar hotel

 

Srinagar, Sep 2, KNT: A man from Maharashtra was found dead in a hotel room in Sonwar area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Officials said that a police team from Police Station Ram Munshibagh shifted the body to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Adarsh Kumar, son of Shurgun Prasad, a resident of Pune, Maharashtra.

He was discovered unconscious in his room at Hotel President in Sonwar and was initially shifted to Paras Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings under Section 174 CrPC. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death. [KNT]
