Doda, Sep 11, KNT: Panic gripped Doda town on Thursday evening after a low-intensity blast occurred in Thukar Mohalla locality. Police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
According to officials, police and forensic science experts reached the spot to determine the nature and cause of the blast. Two individuals identified as Javed Ahmad and Khurshid Ahmad, who were present at the site during the explosion, have been detained for questioning.
The blast took place against the backdrop of heightened tension in Doda and its adjoining areas. The district has been on edge following the detention of over 80 people and violent clashes between security forces and protesters after the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mehraj Malik under the Public Safety Act.

Authorities said additional security measures have been put in place to prevent further escalation. [KNT]
