Poonch, July 6, KNT: A pall of gloom descended over Khait Sawjian village in Jammu’s Poonch district after a 19-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in the Mandi sector early Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil Altaf, son of Mohammad Altaf, a local resident. According to officials, the boy was discovered unresponsive at his residence, triggering alarm among family members who immediately informed the authorities.
A police team promptly arrived at the scene and shifted the body to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. While the exact cause of death remains unknown, officials confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
“We have taken cognizance of the matter. A postmortem will help ascertain the cause of death. All possible angles are being examined,” a police official told KNT.
