Two Dozen Houses Develop Cracks as Nearly 4 Km Stretch Sinks in J&K’s Ramban

 


Ramban, Sep 11, KNT: A serious case of land subsidence has been reported in Tanger area of Ramban district, where nearly four kilometers of land has started sinking, triggering concern among local population.

Eyewitnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that around two dozen residential houses have developed cracks, forcing families to live under constant fear of further damage. Some structures have been declared unsafe.

Authorities have reached the area and are assessing the scale of the damage. Officials said teams are on the ground to monitor the situation closely and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of residents.
