Delhi Tourist Dies At Kashmir’s Gulmarg Resort

 

Srinagar, Oct 21, KNT: A 68-year-old tourist from Delhi died in Gulmarg on Tuesday, officials said. The deceased, identified as Hamid Ali, son of late Rifaqat Ali, was staying at a hotel in the famous tourist destination of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

According to reports, Hamid Ali was found unconscious in his hotel room, following which staff members informed the local health authorities. He was initially taken to the local health block at Tangmarg, where doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced medical attention.

However, hospital sources said the tourist was brought dead to SMHS. “The patient was declared brought dead upon arrival,” a doctor at SMHS confirmed. Police have taken cognizance of the matter. [KNT]
