Sunil Sharma Says NC Ministers Force BJP MLAs to Approach LG Manoj Sinha for Grievance Redressal
Jammu, Oct 8, KNT: Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir and senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma on Wednesday alleged that National Conference ministers deliberately ignore the concerns raised by BJP legislators, forcing them to approach Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for the resolution of constituency-related issues.
Responding to a media query about whether a dual system of governance exists in Jammu and Kashmir, one elected and another unelected, Sharma clarified that the BJP has full respect for the democratic setup, but said that the NC’s attitude has compelled his party’s representatives to seek help directly from the LG.
“Our legislators approach ministers with genuine constituency grievances, but they don’t act or respond. As a result, BJP MLAs are left with no choice but to knock on the doors of LG Manoj Sinha, who listens patiently and addresses the issues promptly,” Sharma said.

He added that such indifference on the part of NC ministers was obstructing effective governance. “This behavior exposes the double standards of the National Conference. They talk of democracy, yet they disregard the voices of elected representatives who are trying to serve the people,” Sharma added.
The BJP leader reiterated that his party would continue to raise public-centric issues both inside and outside the legislature, and that the LG’s office remains accessible and responsive in ensuring development and grievance redressal across constituencies. [KNT]
