Ganderbal, Nov 11, KNT: MLA Kangan, Mian Mehr Ali, accompanied by Block Medical Officer Kangan, Dr. Arshid Rasool, visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sonamarg to assess the healthcare facilities available at the hospital.
During the visit, officials briefed the MLA about the urgent need to repair the roof of the PHC building, install a DG generator, and provide a 4×4 ambulance to the centre to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services during the harsh winter months.
The MLA was apprised that heavy snowfall and poor accessibility during winter often create challenges for both patients and medical staff. The proposed measures, including the deployment of a four-wheel-drive ambulance, are expected to significantly improve medical response in emergencies.
Mian Mehr Ali assured that necessary steps would be taken to make these facilities available at the earliest to strengthen healthcare delivery in the Sonamarg area. [KNT]
