Three-Year-Old Girl Seriously Burnt by Hot Water in Kulgam, Referred to SKIMS

Kulgam, Nov 30, KNT: A three-year-old baby girl sustained critical burn injuries after accidentally coming in contact with hot water in the Chansar village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday, officials said.

The injured minor has been identified as Aleeza Jan, daughter of Waseem Ahmad, a local of Chansar Kulgam. Officials said she suffered severe burns in a domestic accident and was immediately shifted to the District Hospital Kulgam for treatment.

Doctors at the district hospital provided primary medical care and later referred the child to SKIMS Srinagar due to the seriousness of her injuries. Hospital sources said the girl is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. [KNT]
