Black Bear Captured in Srinagar’s Lal Bazar Area
Srinagar, Dec 6, KNT: The bear that had triggered panic among locals in several parts of Srinagar was finally captured near the Bota Bagh area of Lal Bazar on Saturday late evening.
Officials said the animal was safely trapped by a Wildlife Department team with active support from the Srinagar police.

The bear had been frequently sighted in residential localities over the past few days, causing fear and disruption.
Following the operation, authorities said the animal was secured without any injury to people and would be relocated as per standard wildlife protocols.
Police and wildlife officials advised locals to remain alert during such incidents and promptly inform authorities to avoid untoward situations.
