CBI Prosecuting Officer died after succumbing to injuries in Banihal road accident

Anantnag, Dec 26, KNT: Advocate Sheikh Adil Nabi, a lawyer associated with the District Court Srinagar and recently appointed as a Prosecuting Officer with the Central Bureau of Investigation, died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a road accident near Banihal, officials and sources said.

Sources said the accident occurred on Wednesday when Advocate Adil Nabi was travelling towards Kashmir from Delhi. He sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, where his condition remained critical.
Despite medical intervention, he today succumbed to his injuries, the sources said.

Advocate Adil Nabi was a resident of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district and was known among the legal fraternity for his professional work at the District Court Srinagar. His recent appointment as a Prosecuting Officer in the CBI was considered a significant development in his legal career.

Members of the Bar expressed shock over his untimely death, describing it as a loss to the legal community. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
