Sonamarg Records Over 4.7 Lakh Tourist Footfall in 2025

Ganderbal, Dec 30, KNT: Sonamarg, one of the prominent tourist destinations in central Kashmir, witnessed a significant tourist influx during the ongoing year, with over 4.7 lakh visitors arriving between January and December.

According to official figures provided by the Tourist Police Sonamarg, a total of 470,117 tourists visited Sonamarg from January 1 to December 30. The figures include domestic tourists, foreign nationals, and local inhabitants who visited the resort to experience its natural landscapes.

Officials said the steady tourist movement underlines Sonamarg’s enduring appeal despite challenges faced by the tourism sector earlier this year. They added that the destination continues to attract visitors across seasons due to its scenic beauty and improved accessibility.
