LG Kavinder Gupta highlights development projects at Republic Day function in Leh

Leh, Jan 26, KNT: Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday spoke about various ongoing and upcoming developmental projects in Ladakh during the 77th Republic Day function held at the historic Polo Ground in Leh.

Addressing the gathering, the Lt Governor said the administration remains committed to strengthening infrastructure and improving basic amenities across the region. He said priority is being given to projects related to roads, healthcare, education, power supply, and public services to ensure balanced and inclusive development.

Gupta said sustained efforts are being made to improve connectivity in remote and border areas, while also focusing on employment generation and welfare measures for local inhabitants. He added that Ladakh’s strategic importance and unique geographical conditions require focused planning and efficient implementation of development schemes.

The Lt Governor also underlined the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in the execution of public projects, stating that timely completion of works remains a key objective of the administration.

Senior civil and police officials, representatives from various departments, and members of the public were present at the Republic Day function, which was held amid heightened security arrangements. [KNT]
