Jammu, Feb 22, KNT: Former Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda on Sunday said Kashmiri Pandit employees serving in the Valley are safe and need not panic following the circulation of purported threat posters on social media.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu on the sidelines of a function organized by the Kashmiri Pandit Civil Society, Khoda said adequate security arrangements have consistently been put in place for Pandit employees working in Kashmir.
“There is no need to worry. The government has always ensured foolproof security for them,” he said, adding that employees currently serving in the Valley should continue their duties without fear. He also urged those who are due to join their postings in Kashmir to report as scheduled.
His remarks come in the wake of alleged online posters allegedly threatening members of the Pandit community, which triggered concern among employees and their families.
