Property of Alleged Drug Peddler Attached in South Kashmir’s Shopian

 

Shopian, Feb 26, KNT: Police in Zainapora on Thursday attached the residential property of an alleged drug peddler in connection with a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Officials said the action was carried out by Zainapora Police under the supervision of SDPO Zainapora Athar Samad in the presence of an Executive Magistrate.

The attached property comprises a double-storey residential house with a plinth area of approximately 1,759.97 square feet, falling under Survey No. 1130/1131 at Malhura Zainapora. The property belongs to Ab Rashid Koka, son of late Ab Gani Koka, a resident of Malhura.

Police said the attachment was executed in connection with FIR No. 80/2025 registered under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Zainapora.

Officials stated that the move was part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and dismantle networks involved in narcotics trade in the district. [KNT]
