Drug Control Organisation Anantnag Cracks Down on Irregularities; Six Medical Shops Suspended on the Spot

Anantnag, April 27,  In a major enforcement drive, the Drug Control Organisation Anantnag carried out surprise inspections across several areas, including Botingoo, Jablipora, and Arwani, targeting pharmaceutical establishments suspected of regulatory violations.

During the operation, officials discovered serious lapses in mandatory record-keeping at multiple medical stores. Acting swiftly, the inspection team ordered the immediate suspension of six establishments for failing to maintain proper records of drug sales and purchases—a violation under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

The suspended establishments are:
