Police Station Tral Solves Hit and Run Case; Accused Arrested, Motorcycle Seized

Pulwama : Police Station Tral has successfully solved a hit and run case by arresting the accused involved in causing injuries to a pedestrian and fleeing from the scene.

The case pertains to an incident at Kahleel Road, Tral, where an unknown motorcycle rider hit a pedestrian, Shabir Ahmad Bhat of Tral Bala, and escaped immediately after the accident. The injured was promptly shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for medical treatment.

Following the incident, FIR No. 73/2026 was registered at Police Station Tral under relevant provisions of law, and investigation was initiated.

A police team headed by Inspector Tajamul Islam, SHO Police Station Tral, conducted sustained technical and human intelligence based efforts to identify and trace the accused. Through persistent investigation, the accused namely Mursaleen Riyaz , who had been evading arrest, was successfully apprehended.

The motorcycle (Pulsar) bearing registration No. JK13F-1436, used in the commission of the offence, was identified and seized in accordance with law. All legal and procedural formalities relating to the arrest and seizure have been completed.
