President Kashmir Jurists Bar Association Visits Injured Shri Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims at SKIMS Soura

Srinagar, July 29, 2026: President of the Kashmir Jurists Bar Association, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Adv. Altaf Ganderbali, accompanied by the Association’s Chief Coordinator, Adv. Tajamul Choudhary, today visited the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, to inquire about the health and well-being of the Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims who sustained injuries in the unfortunate road accident at Ganiwan, Kangan, in District Ganderbal.

During the visit, the delegation met the injured pilgrims admitted to various wards of the hospital and interacted with them individually. Adv. Altaf Ganderbali conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and wished each of the injured devotees a speedy and complete recovery. He prayed for their good health and appreciated the dedication of the doctors, nurses, and the entire medical staff of SKIMS Soura for providing timely and quality medical care to the injured pilgrims.

The delegation patiently listened to the concerns and grievances raised by the injured pilgrims and their attendants. Special attention was given to issues relating to transportation and travel arrangements after their discharge from the hospital. Adv. Altaf Ganderbali assured the pilgrims that the Kashmir Jurists Bar Association would make every possible effort to coordinate with the concerned authorities to facilitate their safe and smooth transportation from SKIMS Soura to their respective native places.

Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Altaf Ganderbali stated that the safety, dignity, and welfare of Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims are of paramount importance and that every section of society must stand together in extending humanitarian assistance during such difficult times. He emphasized that Kashmir has always upheld the values of hospitality, compassion, and communal harmony, and reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to providing all possible legal, humanitarian, and moral support to those in need.

Chief Coordinator Adv. Tajamul Choudhary also expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident and prayed for the early recovery of all the injured pilgrims. He reiterated that the Association remains committed to serving humanity beyond professional obligations and will continue to extend assistance wherever required.

The Kashmir Jurists Bar Association prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in the accident and expressed hope that they would soon return safely to their homes. The Association also appreciated the prompt response of the civil administration, police, emergency services, and healthcare professionals who played a vital role in rescuing the victims and ensuring immediate medical treatment.
