Six Injured in Triple-Vehicle Collision on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway

 

Baramulla, July 1, KNT: At least six people were injured after three vehicles collided on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway at Zangam in the Pattan area of Baramulla district on Wednesday, disrupting traffic on the busy stretch.

Officials said the accident involved a dumper, a Scorpio and an Alto 800. The collision was so severe that all three vehicles suffered extensive damage.

Soon after the accident, police and local residents rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their identities and the nature of their injuries were not immediately available.

The damaged vehicles were later removed from the highway to restore the smooth movement of traffic.

Police have registered the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the collision. [KNT]
