White-Collar Militant Network Exposed in Major Counter-Operation: Police

Srinagar, Nov 10, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Police have busted an inter-state and transnational militant module linked with the proscribed outfits Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). The operation led to the arrest of key operatives and recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives during coordinated searches across Jammu and Kashmir and other states.
Police said the investigation was launched after multiple JeM posters were found pasted at different locations in Bunpora Nowgam, Srinagar, on October 19, 2025, containing threats and messages aimed at intimidating police and security forces. Acting swiftly, police registered FIR No. 162/2025 under Sections 13, 16, 17, 18, 18-B, 19, 20, 23, 39, and 40 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Section 61(2), 147, 148, 152, 351(2) BNS, Section 4/5 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Sections 7/25/27 of the Arms Act at Police Station Nowgam, Srinagar.
Investigations revealed a white-collar militant ecosystem, involving radicalized professionals and students who were in touch with handlers operating from Pakistan and other countries. The group had been using encrypted communication channels for indoctrination, coordination, fund transfers, and logistics.
According to officials, funds were raised through professional and academic circles under the guise of social and charitable activities, to support militant propaganda and recruitment. The coordinated arrests and seizures have dealt a major blow to the network’s attempts to expand its influence across J&K.
