
Jammu, Nov 23, KNT: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday chaired a high-level security meeting to review the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Senior officers from civil administration, police, central armed forces and intelligence agencies participated in the meeting, which focused on the prevailing security scenario and upcoming winter preparedness.
Officials said the meeting assessed the current law and order situation, counter infiltration measures, deployment patterns and winter-specific challenges across sensitive locations. Security agencies briefed the Lieutenant Governor on recent developments, operational readiness and coordination mechanisms in place to maintain stability.
Discussions also centred on ensuring smooth movement of supplies during winter months, safeguarding vital installations and maintaining close synergy among all security agencies. The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the need for maintaining strict vigil, strengthening intelligence networks and ensuring the safety of civilians.
He urged the concerned departments to remain proactive and directed them to work in close coordination to ensure peace and stability across Jammu and Kashmir.
