Medical Bodies Demand Accountability in Anantnag Post-Delivery Death Case

Srinagar, Dec 8, KNT: Following the death of a 24-year-old woman after delivery at the Child and Maternity Hospital in Anantnag, national-level doctors’ bodies have called for a transparent and time-bound inquiry into the incident.

Dr. Mohammad Momin Khan, National Executive of the Federation of All India Medical Association and Vice President of the All India Medical Students Association for Jammu and Kashmir, said the investigation must be conducted in a fair and uncompromising manner to establish the facts surrounding the case.

In a statement issued on behalf of FAIMA and AIMSA, Dr. Khan said that if negligence is established at any level, immediate and strict action should be taken to ensure justice for the bereaved family and to restore public confidence in the healthcare system.
