AIMSA Seeks PM’s Urgent Intervention for Safety of Indian Medical Students in Bangladesh

Srinagar, Dec 22, KNT: The All India Medical Students’ Association has sought urgent intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian medical students reportedly stranded in Bangladesh amid what it described as unsafe and uncertain conditions.

In a detailed representation addressed to the Prime Minister, AIMSA said it has been receiving alarming messages from students and their families regarding distressing situations faced by those studying in Bangladesh. The organisation said the prevailing atmosphere has triggered fear and anxiety among students, prompting parents in India to express deep concern.

The association said Indian students who pursue medical education overseas do so with confidence in the Government of India’s ability to safeguard them in times of crisis. It requested the Prime Minister’s Office, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, to initiate immediate protective measures.
