Parents of Kashmiri Students in Iran Seek Immediate Evacuation

Srinagar, Mar 4, KNT: Parents of Kashmiri students studying in Iran on Wednesday appealed to the Government of India to ensure the safe evacuation of their children amid the escalating conflict involving Israel and Iran.

Family members of several students said that while authorities had shifted many students from Tehran to relatively safer locations, the situation across Iran remains uncertain due to ongoing hostilities.

Muhammad Ashraf Dar, a parent of one of the stranded students, said they were grateful to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Prime Minister and the Jammu and Kashmir government for relocating the students from Tehran. However, he expressed concern over the safety of Indians still present in the country.

“Every inch of Iran is under fire. Students, businessmen and pilgrims stranded there are at high risk. We want our children to be evacuated safely. We are even ready to bear the cost of their air tickets,” he said.
