Driver dies after oil tanker plunges into river in North Kashmir

Bandipora, July 5, KNT: An oil tanker plunged into the river Jehlum in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district leading to the death of the driver who hails from Reasi district of Jammu region, police said.

The incident occurred during the intervening night of July 4 and 5 near Wangipora Sumbal village of the district.

The police said that the driver lost control of the oil tanker and it skidded off the road, plunging into the river.

The rescue team retrieved the body of the driver identified as Jitendra Singh.
