Elderly Woman Critically Injured in Bandipora Road Accident

 

Bandipora, Aug 19, KNT: A 52-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by an unknown motorcycle in the main market of Bandipora town on Tuesday.

Officials said the woman, identified as Sara Begum, wife of Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Aloosa Bandipora, sustained severe head injuries in the accident. She was initially taken to Government Medical College Bandipora and later referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.

Doctors at SKIMS described her condition as critical.

Eyewitnesses said the motorcycle rider fled from the spot after the accident, leaving the woman grievously injured on the road. Police have registered a case and started efforts to trace the rider.
