Army JCO among five injured in road mishap in Rajouri

 

Rajouri, Sep 2, KNT: An Army vehicle of 49 Rashtriya Rifles met with an accident near Dehri Ralyote in Rajouri district on Tuesday morning, leaving five personnel injured including a Junior Commissioned Officer.

Official sources said the incident occurred around 7:10 am when the vehicle skidded off the road while returning to Galuthi headquarters after a night ambush and surveillance duty. The accident took place in the area of responsibility of 49 RR’s 13 Sector.

The injured soldiers were immediately evacuated and shifted to 150 General Hospital Rajouri in an Army ambulance for treatment.

The injured personnel have been identified as Subedar Veerpal Singh, Havildar Mohammad Sahil, Naik Varinder Singh, Sepoy Raghveer Singh, and Sepoy Radheshyam Acharaj.
