Bandipora restricts transportation of construction material outside district

Bandipora, Sep 15, KNT: Authorities in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district have barred the transportation of construction material to other districts, citing an acute shortage needed for ongoing developmental and government works.

An order issued by the District Mineral Officer stated that all customary permit holders must refrain from allowing outsider vehicles to lift or carry material outside Bandipora. The directive, issued in the interest of public service, stressed that available material must be used exclusively for the district’s needs.

The officer warned that any violation of the order will invite strict legal and administrative action. The order has come into force with immediate effect and will remain in operation until further notice.
