Police arrested mother-son duo for storing contraband substances in their house in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The arrests were made in Gopalpora area of Chadoora town.
A police spokesperson said that Police Post Mochwa received information that contraband substances have been concealed and stored by one namely Yaqoob Khan son of Sirajudin and his mother in their house at Gopalpora Chadoora.

Accordingly, a police team from police post-Mochwa led by Inspector Mudasir Shafi along with executive magistrate 1st class B. K Pora raided the house and conducted a search. During the search, the police party was able to recover 31 sticks of charas-like substance weighing 1 KG & 122 Grams from the said house.
Both mother-son duo were arrested and an FIR vide number 46/23 was registered against them under NDPS Act. [KNT]
