The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided the under-construction property of jailed human rights activist Khurram Parvez in Dhondosa village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Earlier, his Sonwar Srinagar-based office was also raided in connection with an alleged militant funding case.
Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a raid was conducted by a joint team of NIA officers, J&K Police and paramilitary personnel.
NIA has already stated that the case pertains to the collection and transfer of funds by certain NGOs, trusts, societies and organizations to sustain anti-India activities in Kashmir Valley.
Khuram Parvez who is an eminent human rights activist had been arrested in 2021 and since then he is languishing in jail.
Khurram Parvez has been accused of “militant funding” and “conspiracy” against India. The police have charged him under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, including “criminal conspiracy”, “attempt to wage war against the government” and “raising funds for militancy acts “.
