Police found the dead body of a cop in the Poonch district of Jammu region on Tuesday.
A police official said that the cop had probably died in a road accident.
He said that preliminary investigation suggested that the victim SPO whom he identified as Muhammad Khaliq Hussain suffered fatal injuries in a road accident.
The motorcycle ridden by the cop was found near the body in Kankote village of Poonch.
The victim was posted in district police lines Poonch. Police in this regard have registered a case and started an investigation. [KNT]
