Karnah administration bans usage of cell phones in educational institutions

Kupwara, Aug 10, KNT: The Administration has banned cell phone usage inside schools and directed the faculty members to keep their phones off during working hours in the Karnah sub-division of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Karnah, Zaffar Ahmed Lone as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust in a communique to all educational institutions has impressed upon the Head of the Educational Institutions (Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle and Primary Schools) of Karnah Sub Division, that all the teaching faculty in the educational institutions shall keep their Mobile phones switched off during working hours.

However, Heads of Institutions have been exempted and asked to l keep their mobile phones switched on to receive relevant communications whenever required.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Karnah was warned of action against the violators under relevant laws.
