Amritpal Singh Takes Over as SSP Anantnag, Stresses Community-Centric Policing

Anantnag, Apr 21, KNT: Amritpal Singh, IPS, officially took over as the new Senior Superintendent of Police of Anantnag district on Monday, succeeding Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS.

Upon his arrival at the District Police Headquarters, SSP Singh was received with a warm welcome by senior officers of the district police. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented in his honour, marking the beginning of his tenure with a formal gesture of respect and recognition.

The outgoing SSP Chakravarthy formally handed over the charge to his successor. The transition of leadership was conducted smoothly, reflecting the professionalism of the district police force.

Soon after assuming charge, SSP Amritpal Singh held an introductory meeting with officers and officials of Anantnag Police. Addressing the gathering, he underscored the need for enthusiastic and dedicated service to the people. He encouraged his team to remain vigilant, responsive, and committed to resolving public grievances with a proactive approach.

“We must remain rooted in our duty to serve the people with sincerity and compassion. Let our efforts reflect our commitment to peace and public welfare,” SSP Singh said during the interaction.
