Agniveer Killed, Two Soldiers Injured in Landmine Blast Near LoC in Poonch

 

Poonch, July 25, KNT: In a landmine explosion, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Friday, an Indian Army Agniveer lost his life while two other soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), sustained injuries in a landmine explosion.

According to official sources, the blast occurred near Victor Post in the Salotri village of Haveli tehsil during a routine patrol when a landmine, part of the area’s anti-infiltration defenses, was accidentally triggered.

The injured personnel were immediately evacuated and shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The condition of both injured soldiers is reported to be stable.
