Western Disturbance to Bring Rain, Snowfall and Sharp Temperature Drop Across J&K

Srinagar, Oct 31, KNT: A fresh moderate-intensity Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir on November 4 and 5, bringing rain and snowfall to several parts of the region, followed by a sharp dip in temperature.

According to independent weather forecaster Kashmir Weather, the upcoming spell will be accompanied by a cold front, making it one of the more significant systems of the post-autumn period. The forecast suggests widespread rain in plains and moderate snowfall in higher reaches during the two days.

“After the system passes, temperatures are likely to drop sharply into the negatives, with Srinagar city also expected to record its first sub-zero temperature of the season,” the forecaster said.
