Ladakh administration reallocates additional departments to IAS officers

Leh, Jan 8, KNT: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has ordered the allocation of additional departmental responsibilities to senior IAS officers following administrative adjustments, an official order issued by the General Administration Department said.
According to an Order, the additional departments earlier held by Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar, who has been relieved from the UT Ladakh administration, have been reallocated in the interest of administration. The changes will take effect from January 9, 2026, forenoon, and will remain in force until further orders.
As per the order, Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra has been assigned the additional charge of the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, in addition to his existing duties.
Commissioner Secretary Laltinkhuma Franklin has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the Health and Medical Education Department.

Similarly, Administrative Secretary Rudra Goud P T has been allocated the additional charge of the Labour and Employment Department as well as the Science and Technology Department.
The order has been issued by the General Administration Department with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, Administrator of UT Ladakh. Copies of the order have been circulated to all Administrative Secretaries, Director General of Police Ladakh, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and other concerned authorities for information and compliance.
