Anantnag Police Conduct Specialised Sniper Response Mock Drill Ahead of Amarnath Yatra

Anantnag, June 26, KNT: As part of security preparations for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Anantnag Police on Friday conducted a specialised Sniper Response Mock Drill at Batangoo to assess the operational preparedness of security personnel in dealing with potential threat scenarios.

The exercise was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of precision engagement, rapid deployment and coordinated response during simulated emergency situations along the yatra route.

Police personnel rehearsed tactical procedures aimed at neutralising potential threats while ensuring the safety of pilgrims and maintaining operational coordination among security agencies.

Officials said the mock drill formed part of a broader security strategy to strengthen preparedness for the annual pilgrimage by testing response capabilities under simulated conditions.
